On Wednesday 22nd May, Tas Severis came along to give a very informative demonstration of his techniques he uses when completing a painting solely in palette knife. Surprisingly he tends to work “straight from the tube” mixing paints as he goes, directly on the canvas.  He showed us a recently completed commission of a painting of Whitby. A picturesque scene, often a firm favourite for many artists. 

We had a good attendance on the night and though challenging for some to use a a completely new medium, we all found it very entertaining and got some useful tips from Tas on the use of the palette knife in our art.
